How Did Trump Happen? Please Explain!

Trump, the Joke, became the GOP candidate! Out of 17 choices, all bad as far as I am concerned, Trump won! Even the media pundits were saying he wouldn’t be in long. The Media covered him 24 hours a day because he was supposed to be a Joke. And by doing that they gave him free air time and some of the voting public didn’t take him as a joke and started to fall for Trump’s Carnival Barker’s Schtick.

Here’s a new post for you to fill with reasons and excuses why Trump won as Candidate for the GOP when even the Republicans don’t want him.

And it’s not really any better on the Democratic side. So much animosity from the voters who back Hillary Clinton and the Voters that back Bernie Sanders. Media already has Hillary winning but Bernie is running close and the polls say he’d win, in some cases by double digits, over Trump and Hillary is almost dead even with Trump.

This is the strangest election in my lifetime! Have at it!

“Beginning Sunday, July 17 at 3 p.m., the plan is to have thousands span the Cleveland’s Hope Memorial Bridge for 30 minutes of silence, shoulder-to-shoulder, in solidarity, to show the world what this city on the rise stands on.

“’It’s bringing us all together as one city,’ said Sr. Rita Petruziello.

“Her hope is that diversity becomes our brand. A Sister of St. Joseph for 55 years, the idea came from a meeting of the sister minds.

“‘We were thinking about the state of affairs with all the politics and negativity that is going on, and we thought, “Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could circle the city with love?” I took that notion and I could not let it go. It was sitting inside of me, and I said I have to do something with this,’ Sr. Rita said.

“…There are two meeting spots. St. Ignatius High School in the city’s west side or the Wolstein Center in Cleveland’s east side at East 18th Street and Carnegie Avenue.”

Can you imagine, there are still some people out there that defend free trade, its devastated the wages of Americans, they can no longer even buy cheap foreign products: A staggering percentage of Americans are too poor to shop

This is what happened to the U.K.

    http://nypost.com/…/a-staggering-percentage-of-americans-a…/

Retailers have blamed the weather, slow job growth and millennials for their poor results this past year, but a new study claims that more than 20 percent of Americans are simply too poor to shop.

These 26 million Americans are juggling two to three jobs, earning just around $27,000 a year and supporting two to four children — and exist largely under the radar, according to America’s Research Group, which has been tracking consumer shopping trends since 1979.

“The poorest Americans have stopped shopping, except for necessities,” said Britt Beemer, chairman of ARG.

Frankly, I’m appalled. The Trans Pacific Partnership is a Trojan horse in the global race to the bottom. That the Democratic Party platform won’t oppose the TPP is a sad commentary on the continuing power of global corporations to dictate party policy whenever that policy might otherwise conflict with their goals.

The Democrat’s failure to oppose the TPP also gives Donald Trump — who is unambiguously against it — a trump card he doesn’t deserve.

    Incredibly stupid.

One of my colleagues put it this way today: We can hold these two thoughts in our heads at the same time — that people of color are subjected to higher rates of unconstitutional policing, including loss of life; and that most police officers are doing their best to act fairly and honorably. We can mourn police victims and victims of police at the same time.

    Social Security Works
    1 hr ·

This week, the Democratic Party completed drafting its 2016 platform — and it includes a strong statement of support for expanding Social Security by asking those at the top to contribute their fair share. That means that Social Security expansion is now the Party’s official stance.

Now it’s the Republicans’ turn. Soon we will find out if their platform reflects the GOP’s longstanding support for benefit cuts, or if they have begun to listen to the American people.

But Overall Police Officers are basically out of control , they have these military weapon and like childish immature children they want to use them even when its totally and Wholly unnecessary.

  10. BREAKING: President Obama Announces Major Update To ObamaCare

On Monday, President Obama personally wrote a piece for the American Medical Association’s top journal, JAMA, calling for a “public option” to finally be added to the Affordable Care Act.

“Now, based on experience with the ACA, I think Congress should revisit a public plan to compete alongside private insurers in areas of the country where competition is limited.”

If enacted, the update to ObamaCare would be huge, to say the least. Having a government-run health insurance option run alongside private plans in exchanges would allow for greater competition in the marketplace. For instance, most Americans (88%) have a considerable amount of options, with an average of at least 3 insurers offering plans in their area. Yet, 12% of Americans only have an average of 2 insurers in their area. The idea is this: having a government-run plan in areas with limited competition available will not only increase competition but it will also help keep costs low.

While the President himself cannot enact the proposal without the will of Congress, this is important in itself for several reasons. [more]

U.S. stocks closed higher on Monday as investors cheered an election in Japan and extended a jobs-report rally.

The benchmark S&P 500 index closed at a new all-time high and also posted a new all-time intraday high of 2,143.16. At the close, information technology led the S&P, with health care and utilities lagging.

“What we’ve seen in the leadership is what you want to see, … and what you see lagging is what you want to see,” said Art Hogan, chief market strategist at Wunderlich Securities.

“I’ve been expecting a record close for a while,” said Randy Frederick, managing director of trading and derivatives at Charles Schwab. “It’s a good thing because it cements this 7-year-old market, which is the second longest in history.”

  15. Thank You, Donald Trump

    Dear Mr Trump,

It’s taken me a while to realize this and to admit it, but I’m grateful to you.

For the past few months I’ve spent a good deal of time lamenting your campaign and the poison it has so effortlessly generated. I’ve watched our country imploding, our public discourse become polluted, our political climate grow ever more corrosive, and wrongly assumed you were to blame.

It’s only lately I’ve come to understand that you haven’t manufactured our current national ugliness—you’ve simply revealed it.

By saying the irresponsible, mean-spirited, ignorant things you say so freely and so frequently, you’ve given other like-minded people license to do the same. You’ve opened up the floodgates for our corporate sewage to flow fully. People no longer conceal their vile mess, they now revel in it, they broadcast it and retweet it.

You’ve made bigotry and racism socially acceptable again and that has been a kind of twisted gift because it’s allowed me to really see people; not as they pretend to be on the surface—but in the very depths of their wounded, weaponized hearts.

Over and over as your campaign has persisted, your supporters would tell me that they like you because you “speak your mind”. It wasn’t until recently that I’ve realized that you speak their minds. You’ve given credence to their prejudices and made those prejudices go mainstream.

Thanks to the terrible ground you’ve broken, politicians, pastors, friends, and strangers, both in person and on social media now regularly out themselves as hateful, intolerant, and malicious—and they remind me just how close they are to me, just how deep the sickness in us runs, and just how far we have to go together.

You’ve emboldened people to be open about things they used to conceal for the sake of decorum, and though it turns my stomach, I know that this is the only way we can move forward; to have that cancerous stuff exposed fully so that it can be dealt with. Our progress as a nation is predicated on authentic dialogue, no matter how brutal and disheartening that dialogue is.

In other words, you’ve let us know what we’re really dealing with here and while it’s been rightly disturbing, it’s also been revelatory. That’s the thing about that kind of harsh light: you’re forced to see everything. Beauty and monstrosity equally illuminated. [more]

BRIAN FOX… “This post is a little long, but please stay with me… It is Very Important nonetheless…
In response to Bernie’s statement earlier today… (“We have got to do everything that we can to defeat Donald Trump and elect Hillary Clinton,”) Sad Face right?… No, there’s more to it…

I decided to do some digging into the Official DNC Convention Rules… Buried in this forty-page document is the rule…

“The delegates certified will not publically support or campaign for any candidate for President or Vice President other than the nominees of the Democratic National Convention.” (Keep in mind, Bernie is a S-Delegate)

    As well as…

“It is presumed that the delegates to the Democratic National Convention, when certified pursuant to the Call, are bona fide Democrats who are faithful to the interests, welfare and success of the Democratic Party of the United States, who subscribe to the substance, intent and principles of the Charter and the Bylaws of the Democratic Party of the United States, and who will participate in the Convention in good faith. Therefore, no additional assurances shall be required of delegates to the Democratic National Convention in the absence of a credentials contest or challenge.”

What does this mean?… IMHO, It means that if Bernie publicly endorses Celery, it’s because he has no other choice… (Remember, Bernie IS a Super Delegate)… His credentials could be Revoked if he doesn’t “publicly support” or act in “good faith” to the “fake nominee” and “faithful to the interests” of the DNC… Meaning, he wouldn’t be able to Attend the convention for the fight we are all expecting, if he doesn’t publicly endorse Ms. Wall Street… (Or at least pretend to…*wink wink)… Bernie MUST put on an acting performance worthy of an Academy Award!!!

( And yes, I understand that Shill is still just the quote/unquote “presumptive nominee”, But it would clearly Not be “acting in good faith” to not support the presumptive nominee… Bernie can’t take any chances!… Even the slightest hint of vitriol towards the party/her, and his credentials could be Stripped Away… Bernie can’t do anything that could be misconstrued as acting Against the “faithful interests” of the party….)

So if a public endorsement does occur soon, don’t fret… There was other choice… This is the Only way Bernie can get into the Convention, Kick Some Ass, and become the Nominee!

Too many people, have worked too hard, and have Too Much Evidence that Election Fraud has occured, for Bernie to risk not being able to plead his case at the Convention…

  20. Bernie Sanders Explains Why He Endorsed Hillary Clinton

I am writing you today to express my deep pride in the movement – the political revolution – you and I have created together over the last 15 months. When we began this historic campaign, we were considered fringe players by the political, economic and media establishment. Well, we proved them wrong.

We showed that the American people support a bold, progressive agenda that takes on the billionaire class, that fights for racial, social, economic and environmental justice and that seeks to create a government that works for all of us and not just the big campaign donors.

We mobilized over 13 million voters across the country. We won 23 Democratic primary and caucus contests. We had literally hundreds of thousands of volunteers across the country. And we showed – in a way that can change politics in America forever – that you can run a competitive national grassroots campaign without begging millionaires and billionaires for campaign contributions.

Most importantly, we elevated the critical issues facing our country – issues the establishment has pushed under the rug for too long. We focused attention on the grotesque level of income and wealth inequality in this country and the importance of breaking up the large banks who brought our economy to the brink of collapse. We exposed our horrendous trade policies, our broken criminal justice system, and our people’s lack of access to affordable health care and higher education. We fought aggressively to address the crisis of climate change, the need for real comprehensive immigration reform, the importance of developing a foreign policy that values diplomacy over war, and so much more. [more]

Read it all. I know people are upset he backed Hillary but I can understand somewhat that he doesn’t want Trump to win and he wants to talk at the convention to keep his platform front and center.

Like Jill Stein but she won’t win and she will be a spoiler to a point. We need to do a lot more work to get a viable 3rd party and now isn’t the time. Problem is, after the election people go back to their lives and don’t build that party.

Bernie said we have to keep fighting after the election. Like we did during the Viet Nam mess. We have to keep the protests up and keep after the politicians to push them for our issues.

What Bernie Sanders Gave to America Today

Today, my hero, Bernie Sanders, endorsed Hillary Clinton, a woman that I truly believe is sociopathic, for the office of the President of the United States and then immediately the sun hid behind a cloud and it began to rain.

I was grateful for the rain.

It’s been pretty humid here for the last several days and I was in need of the empathy.

I fought back tears as I left the gym.

I am not afraid to cry.

I just prefer to do it while I am writing.

I went home and grabbed my laptop.

I knew all this fire stinging my eyes was way too complex to be worked out with a box of tissues or a ton of free weights.

I made a point to stay off social media.

I had no time for haters, turncoats or conspiracy theorists.

I drove to the coffee shop and put in my ear buds.

Behind my glasses, I watched people moving here and there, seemingly clueless to the great turmoil taking place in their country.

    I did not envy them.

    I am awake now.

And I will never sleep again.

Bernie Sanders is the greatest politician of my lifetime.

He is the greatest statesman of my lifetime.

He is the greatest human being I have ever had the privilege of witnessing.

He is the voice of my generation and long after he ceases to speak, his words will echo throughout the hearts and minds of millions.

    Bernie Sanders is an activist.

He stood up for me before I even knew his name…before I was even born.

Bernie Sanders inspired tens of millions of people to get outside of their comfort zones and shove their middle fingers in the face of evil.

    Bernie Sanders was “dangerous”.

    Bernie Sanders rattled cages.

Bernie Sanders raged against the machine!!

Bernie Sanders taught us all how this thing was supposed to be done.

Bernie Sanders is a prophet and a Buddha.

He continued to speak peace when all those around him declared war.

He woke up an entire generation and inspired tens of thousands to perform a hostile takeover of their government.

Bernie Sanders is a true revolutionary.

So why the hell did he endorse Hillary Clinton?

Do not tell me that Bernie Sanders is just another bought and paid for politician.

To even utter such nonsense would show complete and all-encompassing ignorance.

This man has fought for what is right when literally no one was fighting by his side.

This man went toe to toe with Alan Greenspan for eight and a half hours.

This man spoke the truth why corrupt politicians laughed at him and left the room in blatant shows of disrespect.

Bernie Sanders was the tree, falling again and again in the D.C. forest of corruption.

Bernie Sanders was the one hand clapping against the fascist regime, when you and I were still watching CNN and calling it news.

    Bernie Sanders is The Truth.

So don’t even think about telling me that Bernie Sanders sold out, as if suddenly, after 40 years of trying, the powers that be, finally found some secret treasure that Senator Sanders could not resist.

And do not waste my time with your foolish conspiracy theories about how Hillary Clinton threatened him in some way.

They have been threatening Bernie Sanders for decades.

Bernie Sanders does not succumb to threats.

Bernie Sanders endorsed Hillary Clinton because he cares more about us than he does about selfish glory.

Bernie Sanders changed the world again today and if you weren’t watching closely, you may have missed it.

Bernie Sanders just sent millions of poor kids to college.

    more

Bernie Sanders just saved millions of lives.

As part of Bernie Sanders’ agreement to endorse Hillary Clinton, Clinton had to agree to support free public universities for low income families.

This is not something that she wanted.

So why will she keep up her end of the bargain?

Because she is driven by ego.

She wants to be recognized as a good person and a good president.

I know she lies and breaks promises and Bernie knows this too.

But she won’t break this one, because Sanders handed her the carrot, but saved the stick for us.

Today marks a reset button for Hillary Clinton.

Bernie Sanders gave her a chance to step up and do the right thing and if she doesn’t, then she will find that there are tens of millions of sticks all over this country that will cut through the air simultaneously and make her presidency a complete debacle.

I am referring to the tens of millions of activists who will watch Hillary Clinton’s every move from this day forward and make her life difficult every time she breaks a promise to the American people.

I am referring to the tens of thousands of activists who are running for public office, who will take over our House and Senate and infect change from the inside.

    I am referring to you.

You have a stick and I encourage you to use it.

Because of Sanders’ sacrifice today, millions of American children will have a way to escape extreme poverty and follow their dreams.

Because of Sanders’ sacrifice today, there is now light penetrating the darkness in the places that our government forgot to represent.

I, like you, wanted Bernie to win the Presidency and there is little doubt that he could have done so through an Independent run, but if he had won, he would have met with extreme opposition from the establishment that owns every branch of our government.

Sanders would have toiled in office, waiting for new elections, so that activists could take over the seats required to pass the bills that the establishment would strike down.

So Sanders did what any wise old warrior would do.

He conceded the battle, so that we might win the war.

And Clinton will get the college bill passed through, whereas Sanders would not have been able to.

She has the contacts in the House and Senate to make it happen.

It will become the cornerstone of her presidency.

She will act like she thought of it and the uniformed will talk about what a hero she is and she will stand on the stage and wave and smile and some impoverished child somewhere will show their report card to their mother and their mother will smile and say..

“Thanks to Hillary, you will be able to become a doctor if you keep this up.”

And those millions of educated young people will go out and change the world for the better.

So just in case you missed it..

That’s what Bernie Sanders gave to America today.

  24. I have been thinking this. In fact, I told my neighbor, yesterday, that by endorsing Hillary, Bernie gets to speak at the Convention. Also, by not cancelling his campaign, if something were to happen to Hillary, he would take her place.

By Endorsing Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders May Have Positioned Himself to Win The Presidency

Even though he has endorsed Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders has not conceded. In a conference call with delegates after the endorsement he said, “I am still officially a candidate. I have not suspended our campaign. I’m not going to suspend our campaign.” Bernie Sanders is still in the presidential race and may be better positioned than ever. Let me explain.

What would be the shrewdest political move Bernie could make right before Hillary’s career implodes? Ingratiating himself to her voters, of course. By endorsing Hillary, he broadens his coalition. If Hillary is forced to exit the race under growing controversy from her legal scandals, Bernie will be perfectly poised to take her place.

Hillary is likely under investigation by the FBI again, this time for lying to congress under oath. Perjury is a felony that can carry a penalty of several years in prison. James Comey’s congressional testimony under oath contradicted several statements Clinton made during the Benghazi hearings. The chairmen of both the Judiciary and Oversight Committees were responsible for referring the matter to the FBI. [more]

Ginsburg: Why won’t media ask Trump for his tax returns?
Media: HOW DARE SHE ASK US TO WORK!?
    Trump: It’s innappropriate
    Media: Agreed!

  26. Dallas Mayor Just Slammed Giuliani For Calling BlackLivesMatter “Racist,” Defends Obama (VIDEO)

On Tuesday, Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings lashed out at former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani for his outrageously offensive comments about the BlackLivesMatter movement. Giuliani has either been sliding into senility for years now or is simply embracing the appalling racism that has always festered in his tainted soul, as over the past few years the appropriateness of his statements has deteriorated from the merely implied racism of a Republican Senator into full-on Sarah Palin territory. 27. International Court Judge Says Dick Cheney Will Eventually Be Tried as a War Criminal

Thomas Buergenthal, former judge at the International Court of Justice, said that former Vice President Dick Cheney could possibly be tried as a war criminal before the International Criminal Court (ICC), reported RawStory.

“Some of us have long thought that Cheney and a number of CIA agents who did what they did in those so-called black holes should appear before the ICC,” said Buergenthal. “We [Americans] could have tried them ourselves. I voted for Obama, but I think he made a great mistake when he decided not to instigate legal proceedings against some of these people.”

Buergenthal mentioned that he didn’t know if former British Prime Minister Tony Blair could face war crimes. Knowing that Cheney was the real ringleader behind the Iraq War, Buergenthal said George W. Bush was “insignificant.” He describes Bush as an “ignorant person” with mommy and daddy issues.

Dick Cheney going before an international tribunal for war crimes would be perfect. Cheney deserves be to be tried for wrongfully creating a war on false pretenses.

  28. I agree. She’s really in a tenuous position right now. It was one thing not to be liked but now with her lies about “the damn emails” the mob could get ugly. Bernie is sticking to what he does best…be Bernie F-ing Sanders! I think he has the most class of all the candidates this year in either party.
