Some of the many Lies of Donald Trump by Robert Reich

Robert Reich put together a great list of the Lies that Trump has told and are now showing up by Trump’s agenda. What he said he was for and why a lot of his base voted for him, he’s reneging on now.

Here’s the list:

For Donald J. Trump supporters:

1. He called Hillary Clinton a crook.
You bought it.
Then he paid $25 million to settle a fraud lawsuit.

2. He said he’d release his tax returns, eventually.
You bought it.
He hasn’t, and says he never will.

3. He said he’d divest himself from his financial empire, to avoid any conflicts of interest.
You bought it.
He is still heavily involved in his businesses, manipulates the stock market on a daily basis, and has more conflicts of interest than can even be counted.

4. He said Clinton was in the pockets of Goldman Sachs, and would do whatever they said.
You bought it.
He then proceeded to put half a dozen Goldman Sachs executives in positions of power in his administration.

5. He said he’d surround himself with all the best and smartest people.
You bought it.
He nominated theocratic loon Mike Pence for Vice President. A white supremacist named Steve Bannon is his most trusted confidant. Dr. Ben Carson, the world’s greatest idiot savant brain surgeon, is in charge of HUD. Russian quisling Rex Tillerson is Secretary of State.

6. He said he’d be his own man, beholden to no one.
You bought it.
He then appointed Betsy DeVos as Secretary of Education, whose only “qualifications” were the massive amounts of cash she donated to his campaign.

7. He said he would “drain the swamp” of Washington insiders.
You bought it.
He then admitted that was just a corny slogan he said to fire up the rubes during the rallies, and that he didn’t mean it.

8. He said he knew more about strategy and terrorism than the Generals did.
You bought it.
He promptly gave the green light to a disastrous raid in Yemen- even though all his Generals said it would be a terrible idea. This raid resulted in the deaths of a Navy SEAL, an 8-year old American girl, and numerous civilians. The actual target of the raid escaped, and no useful intel was gained.

9. He said Hillary Clinton couldn’t be counted on in times of crisis.
You bought it.
He didn’t even bother overseeing that raid in Yemen; and instead spent the time hate-tweeting the New York Times, and sleeping.

10. He called CNN, the Washington Post and the New York Times “fake news” and said they were his enemy.
You bought it.
He now gets all his information from Breitbart, Gateway Pundit, and InfoWars.

11. He called Barack Obama “the vacationer-in-Chief” and accused him of playing more rounds of golf than Tiger Woods. He promised to never be the kind of president who took cushy vacations on the taxpayer’s dime, not when there was so much important work to be done.
You bought it.
He took his first vacation after 11 days in office.
On the taxpayer’s dime.
And went golfing.

And that’s just the first month.

Our The president elect is causing problems before he’s even inaugerated installed as President. And it’s certain he won’t stop because that is his way of doing things. He doesn’t listen well and thinks he knows better than the other person what to do. That’s all due to his mental problem and it is very evident now that he has a mental problem. A very loose cannon that will continue to get us into Diplomatic problems that could be very serious and dangerous.

Our New BIG Worry in this Insane Election

The stress of this election this year is felt by almost everyone and not just in our Country. The stressor is the GOP Candidate for President, Donald Trump. He’s not only stressing out the other Candidates for President, the Democratic Party and recently the Republican Party, but also many Nations of the World. The only person, it seems, that is not stressed by Trump is the leader of Russia, Vladimir Putin. More on him later.

The New Big Worry is what Trump’s followers will do if and when Trump loses, which is a good bet right now. Trump has been whipping up his supporters from the start by attacking the minorities, Immigrants, Mexicans, Muslims, Women, Blacks. He’s even found a way to tear down Veterans, people with disabilities and anyone who is against him, recently the Media. And all this in front of cheering crowds of a mixture of people at his rallies. The mixture includes members of the KKK, White Supremacists and Neo Nazis along with a great amount of bigoted people who have been suppressed for years and have surfaced recently with our first Black President.

Now Mr. Trump is losing in the polls and is whipping up his supporters by telling them the election system is rigged. Because he is losing! His ego won’t allow him to see that he is the only reason he is losing this election. So at his rallies he blames Hillary Clinton and the Democrats and also, now, the Republicans who are all working against him. He’s whipping his supporters up to the point that his supporters are now threatening armed rebellion.

Trump wants his supporters to go to polling places and make sure that Buses full of immigrants, sent by Hillary or the Democrats, can’t vote at the polls.

From the Boston Globe: Warnings of Conspiracy Stokes Anger among Trump Faithful

At a time when trust in government is at a low point, Trump is actively stoking fears that a core tenet of American democracy is also in peril: that you can trust what happens at the ballot box.

His supporters here said they plan to go to their local precincts to look for illegal immigrants who may attempt to vote. They are worried that Democrats will load up buses of minorities and take them to vote several times in different areas of the city. They’ve heard rumors that boxes of Clinton votes are already waiting somewhere.

And if Trump doesn’t win, some are even openly talking about violent rebellion and assassination, as fantastical and unhinged as that may seem.

Here’s Bill Maher talking with Fareed Zacaria on CNN about Donald Trump and his followers:

What do you think? Will we have problems with Trump’s supporters after the election?

The Big Negatives of the TTP and TTIP Trade Deals

There is much negative about these new Trade Deals, the TPP, Trans Pacific Partnership, and the TTIP, the Transatlantic Investment Partnership. There is a lot that hurts the workers and the countries and allows the Big Corporations to be the winners.

Here’s a great breakdown of all that is wrong with the TPP:

What Is the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP)?

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is a secretive, multinational trade agreement that threatens to extend restrictive intellectual property (IP) laws across the globe and rewrite international rules on its enforcement. The main problems are two-fold:

(1) Digital Policies that Benefit Big Corporations at the Expense of the Public: The IP chapter would have extensive negative ramifications for users’ freedom of expression, right to privacy and due process, as well as hindering peoples’ abilities to innovate. Other chapters of the agreement encourage your personal data to be sent borders with limited protection for your privacy, and allow foreign corporations to sue countries for laws or regulations that promote the public interest,

(2) Lack of Transparency: The entire process has shut out multi-stakeholder participation and is shrouded in secrecy.

The twelve nations that negotiated the TPP are the U.S., Japan, Australia, Peru, Malaysia, Vietnam, New Zealand, Chile, Singapore, Canada, Mexico, and Brunei Darussalam. The TPP contains a chapter on intellectual property covering copyright, trademarks, and patents. The official release of the final TPP text confirmed what we had long feared: that U.S. negotiators pushed for the adoption of copyright measures far more restrictive than currently required by international treaties, including the controversial Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA).

The TPP Will Rewrite Global Rules on Intellectual Property Enforcement

All signatory countries will be required to conform their domestic laws and policies to the provisions of the Agreement. In the U.S., this will further entrench controversial aspects of U.S. copyright law—such as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA)—and restrict the ability of Congress to engage in domestic law reform to meet the evolving needs of American citizens and the innovative technology sector. Overall, the TPP’s provisions that recognize the rights of the public are non-binding, whereas almost everything that benefits rightsholders is binding. [more]

And the TTIP is not much better. In fact there is much pushback from European countries on the TTIP.

TTIP: Are US-Europe trade talks tanking?

The talks began in 2013 with the aim of reducing or removing a wide range of barriers to transatlantic trade and investment – but they have proved controversial in both Europe and America.

There are many critics who hope Mr Gabriel’s assessment is right.

The objective of the talks is to boost the incomes of Europeans and Americans by stimulating more trade and investment.

The planned agreement is known as the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, or TTIP. The two sides are seeking to eliminate most tariffs (trade taxes) and to make it easier for American and European business to comply with regulations when selling goods into the other market.

But opponents have rejected the economic analysis, and criticised the potential impact on the environment and consumers.

They argue that by seeking convergence in regulation, TTIP is actually heading to the lowest levels of protection.

There is also a widespread concern about plans for tribunals or courts where foreign investors would be able to sue a host country government if its policies breached the agreement and caused losses to the investor. [more]

These Trade Deals, as I said above, are not good for the working people and not good for the countries. The more research I do the less I like these ‘Deals”.
